The ravaging of the COVID-19 has necessitated some measures are put in place to curtail its spread, one of such is the wearing of nose mask.
The government of Lagos state, the epic centre of the COVID-19 in Nigeria is doing everything to achieve the aim of the campaign “Mask Up Lagos” in order to stop the spread of the virus.
The aim of the Champaign is to make all Lagosians wear nose mask at public places and inside public motors. Every Lagosians are expected to wear mask outside there homes.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Lagos State governor shared this on his twitter handle page today.
Sanwo-Olu encourages all Lagosians to take the responsibility of wearing face mask in order to curtail the spread of COVID-19.
Governor Sanwo-Olu said; “Earlier today, I was a guest speaker at the virtual edition of the Lagos Leadership Conference, themed: Leading in Extraordinary Times, where I noted that wearing a face mask must be a responsibility for all Nigerians. It is important that we understand this.
I took a personal responsibility to champion #MaskUpLagos campaign and we recognise that it is a difficult task to balance economics, livelihood and public health in a period like this but this pandemic is a global problem that requires us all to play our roles in combating it.
We must continue to have various levels of engagement and communication. We must keep the momentum as a people, stay vigilant, adhere to safety guidelines and I believe that we will come out of this challenge stronger and better”.
